Privacy Policy

TestProgress is a BSEB exam preparation platform for Class 10th and 12th students, operated as an individual proprietorship by Abhay Maurya, based in Hariharpur, Mohania, Kaimur, Bihar, India. Throughout this policy, "we", "us" and "TestProgress" refer to that operator.

Information you give us

• Account details — name and email address, collected when you sign up.
• Profile details — your class (10th or 12th), stream (for Class 12), mobile number, and village/town and state.
• Test activity — the answers you select or write, scores, time taken, and any answer sheets you upload as an image or PDF.
• Payout details — if you request a referral withdrawal, your UPI ID or bank account name, number and IFSC code.
• Support messages — anything you send us by email.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, pages visited, and time spent — collected through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
• Login session information managed by our authentication provider.
• A referral code stored in your browser's local storage if you arrive through someone's invite link.

What we do not store

We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or bank password. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay on their own systems. We receive only a payment confirmation and transaction reference.

• To create your account and show you tests matching your class and stream.
• To grade your attempts, save your history, and calculate your rank on the leaderboard.
• To process plan purchases and apply coupons or referral credit.
• To verify and pay out referral withdrawal requests.
• To send you account, payment and test-related messages.
• To understand which features are used and improve the platform.
• To detect fraud, abuse of the referral system, and cheating.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Your name, average score, number of tests taken, and best subject appear on the leaderboard for other students in your class and stream. Your email, mobile number, location and individual answers are never shown to other students.

If you generate a shareable result link, anyone with that link can view that result card — including your name, score and the test name — without logging in. Only create and share a link if you are comfortable with that.

We rely on these providers to run TestProgress. Each receives only what it needs:

• Clerk — sign-up, login and session security.
• MongoDB Atlas — stores your profile, test attempts and results.
• Cloudinary — stores images and PDFs uploaded as answer sheets.
• Razorpay — processes payments and holds your payment details.
• Vercel — hosts the website and serves it to your browser.
• Google Analytics and Meta Pixel — measure site usage and traffic sources.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles that data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, a court order, or a valid request from a government authority.

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you logged in, remember a referral code from an invite link, and — through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel — measure how the site is used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and adjust ad tracking in your Meta account settings.

TestProgress is built for Class 10th and 12th students, so we know many of our users are under 18. The platform is intended for students aged 13 and above.

If you are under 18, you should use TestProgress with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or guardian, and you should have their permission before creating an account, entering your mobile number, or making any payment. We rely on you and your guardian to make that decision — we do not independently verify age or parental consent at sign-up.

A parent or guardian who wants to review, correct or delete their child's account and data can write to support.testprogress@gmail.com and we will act on that request.

We keep your account and test history for as long as your account exists, so that your progress and rankings stay intact. Payment and withdrawal records are kept longer where we need them for accounting or tax purposes.

When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and test data. Some records may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before they are overwritten.

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords and sessions are handled by Clerk rather than stored by us, and database access is restricted. Payments run through Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant systems.

No online service can promise perfect security. Keep your login credentials private, and tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You can ask us to:

• Show you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong — you can also edit most profile details yourself.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Stop sending you non-essential messages.

Email support.testprogress@gmail.com from your registered email address and we will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. For significant changes we will also notify you by email or through the app. Continuing to use TestProgress after a change means you accept the updated policy.
